YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

💗 Respecting Our Shared Space

Nelson Women’s Centre is a safe and welcoming space for all women and non-binary people. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and free to be themselves.

To help us keep the Centre a warm and inclusive space for all, we ask visitors to:

  • Treat others with kindness, respect, and care.

  • Speak to a staff member if something doesn’t feel right—we’re here to help.

  • Arrive sober and substance-free—no alcohol or drugs, please.

  • Respect everyone's right to feel safe—harassment, discrimination, or aggression of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • Let us know as soon as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We understand life can be unpredictable, and we’ll do our best to work with you.

We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. Whether you're here for support, connection, or just a quiet cup of tea, we ask that you help us protect this space of trust and care.
