Dana King Community Social Worker
Kia ora, my name is Dana King (She/Her). I hold a Bachelor of Social work degree and am a registered social worker with the Social Workers Registration Board, and a member of ANZASW. Being born and bred in Whakatū, I had the privilege to grow up surrounded by the beautiful natural enviroment Nelson has to offer. I am a mother of one and love to spend my free time going on family outings, reading good books and going fishing.
I have experience working and volunteering in a range of local community organisations, and within school-based settings. I am passionate about working alongside people from all walks of life to help provide support, advocacy and promote social justice. I have an interest in mental health, health and disability, community development, and helping to support women to access a range of resources.
