Join us alongside the Nelson Italian Street Festival for  “Nonna’s Table” inspired open day — celebrating all things Italian - connection, conversation and the wisdom of women across generations.

As we approach International Women’s Day, add a message to our Women’s Wisdom Tree — honour a woman who shaped your life, share a favourite saying, or write a note to your former self.

These shared lunches are a chance for women to bring kai (food) they enjoy, share a meal, and meet new people.  Bring a dish you love to share — but please don’t worry if you can’t bring anything, just come along. You are welcome!

We’re delighted to be partnering with our friends at Victory Community Centre and will be sharing hosting duties throughout the year. — we’d love to see you!

An Evening with PETRA BAGUST & NIKI BEZZANT NWC ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

💜What a truly special night it was! ✨

The laughter, connection, and open sharing made it an evening to remember. We were absolutely delighted by the turnout and the incredible energy in the room. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and the amazing support of our sponsors, we raised over $10,000! 🙌

These funds will directly support the Nelson Women’s Centre and help us continue to provide vital services for women and non-binary people in our community.

 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and made the night such a success — we couldn’t have done it without you. 💕

QUIZ NIGHT on INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 9 March 2025

 Our sisters from the Nelson Soroptimists organised an amazing quiz night to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer.  The fully booked-out night was a great success, and we were delighted to come first equal and take home the Fresh Choice food vouchers, which the team promptly donated to the Centre.  Thanks to the Soroptimist for organising this great fundraiser for Ovarian Cancer.
